9.0The hosts were very friendly and offered lots of amenities. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and breakfast.
− Because it is an old building, the air conditioning is retrofitted and fairly loud. It did take a little getting used to.

10.0Downen House is a historic mansion with 21st-century technology provided. I stayed in the Colorado Suite which was at the top of the house. What a treat! I had a living room, a reading nook, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It was very roomy and comfortable. Scott and Tamara were extremely cordial and ready with info on what to see and do in Pueblo. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe. The Riverwalk and downtown are only a five minute drive. Breakfast topped off the visit. Scott made a killer quiche which was a presented to us on a table covered with a lace tablecloth with goblets and china place settings laid, reflecting the house’s Victorian vibe.
− I loved the property. Of course, historic houses have idiosyncrasies. I find idiosyncrasies enchanting.

10.0The breakfast was incredible! Tammy, the owner, was delightful, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Downen House was lovely, and it was apparent that the family who owns it put much love into it.
