− Because it is an old building, the air conditioning is retrofitted and fairly loud. It did take a little getting used to.

10.0Downen House is a historic mansion with 21st-century technology provided. I stayed in the Colorado Suite which was at the top of the house. What a treat! I had a living room, a reading nook, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It was very roomy and comfortable. Scott and Tamara were extremely cordial and ready with info on what to see and do in Pueblo. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe. The Riverwalk and downtown are only a five minute drive. Breakfast topped off the visit. Scott made a killer quiche which was a presented to us on a table covered with a lace tablecloth with goblets and china place settings laid, reflecting the house’s Victorian vibe.
− I loved the property. Of course, historic houses have idiosyncrasies. I find idiosyncrasies enchanting.
