7.0Good location—right next to the beach. Clean and fresh paint everywhere. It’s hard to keep everything clean and not rusty in the FL weather—but, this hotel did a great job.
− Very difficult to find the office at “1915” when the hotel is listed as “1900” ! Uber goes to the address listed and the name on the office is NOT the same as the hotel listing on Booking.com. HOLLYWOOD BEACH HOTELS manages all the smaller hotels and Sunset Coast was VERY difficult to find.

6.0Terrible communication. We called twice the day of check-in to see if early check-in was available. Once at 8am and the person on the phone said, “we don’t have very many check-outs so it should be fine but call after 11am to double check.” We called again at 2:30pm and confirmed “so we can come right now?” and was told “Yes, come right now. We have a room ready,” and still ended up having to wait until 4pm. Nowhere does it state that the check-in desk is at a completely different address than where we stayed. No clue how to access where any of the pools were. Parking lot was half taken up by a dumpster, little to no room to maneuver when there are multiple people parked there. Our room was right next to the window facing the road so noise was inevitable. However, incredibly close to the beach. Fairly walkable area. The staff wasn’t mean or anything, but the poor communication wasn’t great. The room was more rundown than the pictures made it seem. Our door barely closed because it looked like someone kicked it in or something. Bathroom didn’t have a fan, so condensation kept everything damp. TV was super far away from the bed, so we didn’t use it. Amenities were fine. No conditioner or hand soap. To me, this is more of a 1-2 night as needed, bare minimum place.
