A view to die for
10.0This place was completely amazing. It was quiet and beautiful. The view from our room was to die for. The room was quite comfortable and well furnished. The staff were kind and helpful. It was nice to get away from the concrete jungle. There are options for everyone from glamping to RVing to the motel where we stayed. Excellent place to decompress before going back to school.

2.0I would like to take a moment to share our experience during our nearly two-year stay at Bells Marina and Resort, which has been challenging and, at times, frustrating. From the outset, we encountered issues with our electricity billing. Despite living on the property for an extended period, we were not provided with a meter to monitor our usage. Consequently, we invested in a Watchdog device to track discrepancies in our bills, which consistently showed inflated charges of $30 or more each month. I have attached our billing records for your review. The owner suggested that our wiring might be at fault; however, the Watchdog is designed to alert users to any electrical issues and would have shut off the power if there were any problems. This was never the case during our stay. Additionally, we observed concerning behavior among the camp workers, who frequently consumed alcohol while on the job. This lack of professionalism resulted in inadequate maintenance and repairs, often performed by individuals who were not qualified for the tasks at hand. The owner has also failed to uphold agreements with camp workers, leading to further disruptions in service. The rental practices at the resort are inconsistent, with varying rates for different tenants, even for substandard trailers. This lack of transparency is troubling, as it creates an unfair environment for residents. Furthermore, I was responsible for maintaining the grounds around my RV, including weed-eating, due to the owner's concerns about liability. Prior to our move-in, we specifically inquired about property maintenance, and we were assured that it would be managed by the staff. Internet connectivity was another significant issue. As remote workers, we emphasized the importance of a reliable internet connection. Unfortunately, when we experienced connectivity problems and sought assistance, the owner questioned whether it was a deal breaker for us. This response was disheartening, given our clear communication regarding our work-from-home needs. Lastly, there is no cabins, glamping or tiny homes present as advertised. We do not recommend.
