Bad communication/information through third party

The wrong telephone number and incomplete address was shown on the hotels.com website. After chatting with an AI bot I found the correct number to call and was able to talk to the host. They explained that important messages/information sent to the customers often dont get received. The accomodation in itself was in a prime location. Fairly easy to park the car in the close area although this cost quite a lot of money. The toilet door wouldnt close properly and the drain in the kitchen sink leaked a lot. There was a lot of noise throughtout the night but this was to be expected being in the middle of town :)

Good location, have billiard

− Old and unkempt apartment. The terrible smell of sewage from the toilet spreads throughout the entire area. The hot water was not enough to take a shower. There was an unwashed sticky floor in the kitchen. The price is clearly too high for the condition of the apartment

Big flat, central location, could be a bit cleaner

Location really great, quiet neighbourhood yet central, really big apartment (which I had all for myself), lots of facilities (bathrooms, infrared sauna, washing machine, tumble dryer), soap in the kitchen, quick contact with the owner, check-in without seeing the host.

− I'm not super high on cleanliness standards, considering that I had, by then, spent a month on a sailing boat with many other people (i.e. not very clean conditions) and booked this place at the very, very last minute (hence not giving much preparation time to the host). Still I found rest of cereals on the floor in the kitchen, some hair on my bed sheet, carpets were OK-ish in terms of dust. As much as I appreciated the quick response from the host with my last minute booking, I didn't get guidance on how to use some of the facilities, ending up having to wait for hours for the sauna to get hot (only the first time; the following days it was fine), or trying multiple to dry my clothes in the tumble drier which didn't work (thank goodness I was staying there more than 1 night so clothes managed to dry while hanging in the room). I'd suggest to print out a short welcome manual where you explain how to use all the machines, and add a drying rack for when the tumble drier doesn't work.
