What a cool place to stay! If I could ask for if I stayed again is a small table to place my every day carry.

Staying in a bubble is a unique experience, of course, but I think management is using that as an excuse to neglect everything else. The "service building" is much too small for the number of guests. There is not a single comfortable chair on the property. It wouldn't be difficult to have WiFi repeaters for WiFi in the bubbles. Would it hurt to put a trash can in the bubbles? As for privacy, the management is putting opaque plastic on the bubbles which will lessen the experience. Why not lattice fencing where necessary? Why is there a stove and cookware in the building but the stove doesn't work? Seriously! The check-in guy was unhelpful as was the manager we contacted by phone.

Staying at the Bubble Hotel in Iceland was definitely a unique and memorable experience. Sleeping in a transparent bubble under the open sky is something special — the view of the surrounding nature was beautiful. It never got completely dark at night. The stay was comfortable overall but there were a few downsides worth mentioning. There was no reception staff to greet us upon arrival which made check-in feel a bit impersonal and confusing. We were told that sleep masks would be provided — an important detail given the constant daylight — but unfortunately, none were available. The bubbles themselves do not have locks which may be a concern for some guests in terms of privacy and security. Bathrooms and showers were located in the main guest house with two rooms that each included a toilet, sink and shower. While clean and functional, it’s a shared setup so be prepared for that aspect of the experience. Overall, this is a comfortable and scenic place to stay if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary but be aware of the limitations and come prepared.

Stayed here for a night as a couple - absolutely LOVED it. Air in the bubble room was cool inside (despite it being sunny and warm outside). Linens were super high quality. No one else there; it was off-season (May). We only had four hours of darkness, but the trees provided shading and it was easy to get a great night sleep. Bathrooms & showers are < 1 minute walk away at the service hut. Free WiFi and coffee at the hut. Self check in. To address concerns we read in other reviews (1) Hot shower water is piped from thermal hot spring so, yes, it has smell of sulphur - but it’s part of the Golden Circle experience! (2) Lots of privacy provided by the trees (especially in spring and summer) and the scent of the pine and fir trees made the air so fresh. (3) Not a lot of food options nearby so pack your own breakfast (fridge in the service hut).
