A Beautiful Stay Undone by a Serious Security Incident

I truly enjoyed many aspects of my stay at this studio in Goa—the space was impeccably clean, cosy, and in a great location. It had everything I was looking for in terms of comfort and convenience, and I initially felt very much at home.

− Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by a serious incident: my professional camera was stolen directly from the wardrobe in the room. There were no signs of forced entry, which strongly suggests that someone with access to the keys entered the property. What made this even more distressing was the way the situation was handled—or rather, not handled—by the property's owner and management. Despite the gravity of the theft, there was a clear lack of accountability. I was told that the CCTV cameras were suddenly not functioning, no one showed any genuine interest in investigating what happened, and no steps were taken to secure the property afterward, such as changing the locks or following up further. It’s disheartening because the place itself has so much potential, and my initial experience was genuinely lovely. But when something goes wrong, especially something as serious as a security breach, the response and responsibility taken matter deeply. I hope this feedback encourages the hosts to improve how they handle such incidents in the future, both for the safety and peace of mind of future guests.

Well placed, simple, cheap studio with 9/10 amenities

Great studio to stay at, if you are looking for well equipped, clean but simple stay! - Mattress was very good & all linen’s were in good condition The kitchen was well stocked up with pots, knives and other key essentials which made mornings very efficient. - - The location is fab, you can walk to the white sand beach within 3 minutes + it’s under 10 minutes by drive to Ashvem, Mandrem & Arambol. - Was very clean & found the owners / manager to be very responsive. - AC, Fridge worked all good

− Not negative, but quick suggestions for anyone planning to book: - Property is hard to find for the first time as it’s inside few lanes, but the property manager will send you a video showing the instructions & happy to pick you as well if needed! - I did not see the hosts on any of the days & there was no one to clean, or help with the trash etc. Do you can except more like rental apartment service rather than that of a hotel - they only have one key for each lock, so you got to ensure not to leave it in the room (self locks without key) or forget it at a friend (like I did)

− Location shown at booking is way much incorrect. Actually location shown is a reception. But the property is far away from beach. Like 7-8 minutes away with bike ride. I have accidentally seen how they manage guest towels..and that is something that I would never wish for anyone to use.

The joining instructions were fantastic, including a video of the path to the place from the road. Very helpful.

− Nothing really. You can't change the fact that the nearby road is busy at times - or that our visit coincided with a very noisy Carnival.

The hosts are the best, it was a really nice and cosy stay! There was everything we needed including filtered water.
