A beautiful property in an amazing location. A great place to relax or to do trips around the islands. The on-site restaurant provided good food or you can cook for yourself in the out door kitchen - though you need to bring provisions with you as there are no shops in the vicinity.

Nothing!

Its a beautiful house, basic and at the same time very comfortable with everything you need. You can see the place is built and decorated by people who know what you need when backpacking. We visited during the rainy season and the restaurants of the resorts nearby were partly closed, but when open had good food.

Nothing big. There were some minor hickups but they were all handled quick and sufficient by James. Be sure to bring enough food/drinks. There are no shops around.

Tropical private paradise. Beautiful rustic bungalow right on aqua waters. We came on off season and felt like we had the island to ourselves. There are kayaks to use as well. If you want more restaurants and life come in the main dry season. There is coral snorkeling nearby and an amazing indigenous guide and chef named Calypso who showed us all the local animals, sloths, monkeys, frogs, caiman and plant medicines. James the host answered any questions or needs we had. Be sure to ask him a lot of questions because we wish we brought more water and food on the off season. But he’s very responsive and helped us with our needs. Be mindful this is a rustic jungle experience with lots of jungle critters, birds crabs, doggies around. Bring som bug spray and enjoy this adventurous experience.

What a lovely escape. Its was what we both needed. James was very accommodating. The area was quiet and had a small kitchen to cook. Its right on he water the waves put you to sleep. If you really feel like an adventure take the kayaks to Zapatilos islands only 5 K away! if you are a good paddle it takes on hour. I will come back on my next visit.

Remote traditional casita with amazing views and beach but lacks privacy due to foot traffic.

7.0

Really enjoyed the traditional casita style with the bonus of having hot water which is a rarity for Bocas. The views were amazing from the property! Also loved being able to swim nearby and the outdoor foot wash was awesome for minimizing sand on the deck.

The only downside was that for being so remote it was definitely not private. The only path to move around that region is to cross the path directly in front of the casita and there was steady foot traffic throughout the day. It could also get noisy because some would blare music at odd hours when they went by and particularly kids would hang out near the house for hours watching videos on their phone with the volume cranked. One additional issue is that it was challenging to cook since the house was lacking some cookware staples like a frying pan and spatula.
