8.0Location is one block from Marlioboro where every third store is selling Batik clothing. The price for the room was exceptional. Mom and daughter (who speaks English perfectly) were very nice and very helpful. The place was kept very clean.
− Biggest issue is that there are around five mosques nearby. Normally not a big deal except the call to prayers start at 4 in the morning. Now multiply that by several mosques. I don't think they all went off at 4 but really, one is more than enough. The other calls to prayer would be staggered so one would start, then another, then another. Really a lot of noise in such a small area. The bed consisted of a mattress on the floor. I only tried the upstairs bathroom once and since there wasn't running water I just switched to the downstairs. "Breakfast" is offered but, really, for so little money you can't expect more than a couple pastries and that is what you get
Cheap stay, but not comfortable for a good rest
5.0Location is good for visiting the shopping street. Host replies promptly. Only guest staying, whole property to myself. Cheaper than most options in the area.
− Stayed 1 night as wanted an undisturbed sleep and place to relax that wasn't a shared dorm room. But the room was too hot, no air con or fan. So opened the windows, but it was noisy especially as it is next to a mosque so the call for prayer was super loud waking me up at 4am. Just one mattress on the floor, not very comfy. Some areas weren't very clean. Breakfast was a pastry, not a meal as I'd have expected. Cheap stay, so next time I need to spend more for a more enjoyable rest somewhere.
