Place was great, but room may have a ghost.

Great location, clean, nicely decorated.

If this was posted somewhere, I didn’t see it, but this room may be haunted. I didn’t have any problems but my wife didn’t get any sleep. We only learned about the apparently known haunted status from doing research afterwards.

It was fine but not worth the cost.

Great to have the coffee shop downstairs.

The unit was very overpriced for its size. Other Phenix properties offer more space and comfort for the price and we felt ripped off by the charge for the two rooms (which were actually smaller than the other room we rented).

Good for our needs: last minute travel with a dog.

The location is great if you want easy access to shops and restaurants. Beds are very comfortable.

The front door was not in working order. We had to go to the back of the building. It's not very well lit and I can imagine a single or young person might be a little wary.

Absolutely amazing!

The building was so beautiful, and Inloved the decorations and Christmas tree right outside in the front square, the coffee shop and their staff were so sweet and made great hot chocolate.

There wasn’t one thing that I disliked about my stay here.

Fine for one night.but not what I was expecting

7.0

Great location in the middle of Bangor. But you kind of need to luck up to get a parking spot nearby.

This just wasn’t what I was expecting. This isn’t an active hotel. There is no lobby with a staff or anything like that. The only thing in the lobby area is a coffee shop. It’s really old. As in our floors were really uneven. The beds were really big and the shower was nice. The TVs were both great. I was just expecting more for the price I paid. Maybe that’s on me for not doing more research.

Spacious rooms, centrally located, aesthetically pleasing

6.0

Great location, clear check-in instructions, comfortable beds. The lobby was well appointed and having the coffee bar in the lobby was super convenient and nice. Large sized rooms but see note about layout. Location was fantastic. Walking distance to multiple breakfast spots. Our group tried judys and a cafe around the corner across the river. Bar right across the street for those who’d like a nightcap. No parking but street parking was findable. No car break-ins.

- this is not a true “2 bedroom”. I consider a 2 bedroom to be a living room plus 2 bedrooms. This unit you walked in to the first bedroom and had to get to the other bedroom through the first bedroom. This made bathroom time awkward. Probably a detail i didn’t read so just be aware - it was not super clean. There was one coffee cup and it had dirty coffee stains on the rim. There was hair in the bathroom. - bathroom was split with toilet and shower in one room and sink outside the bathroom in the first bedroom. The couples had to take turns leaving the unit to have privacy while doing basic things like flossing/ brush teeth. On the positive side, if someone is using the shower, that doesn’t lock up the sink. - the unit was physically and visually slanting so much that it was disorientating to walk around. Par for the course for a very old building, just wanted to warn people who are sensitive to motion sickness, vertigo, or balance disorders (like vestibular migraine or Ménière’s disease), or anxiety. It triggered some discomfort for me so i stayed out of the apartment and only went to bed there.
