Great location, host is super friendly and large lockers for bags!

− The AC is set and too hot for summer sleeping in the pods as the air doesn’t reach them making it uncomfortable to sleep and a bit sweaty! No cover sheet given.

The location is good and the bed was comfortable. Apart from these two things, the hostel had serious issues. Basic needs were very difficult to manage during my stay. When I arrived, there was no water in the city, and this problem continued throughout my stay. However, I did not see enough preparation, alternative solutions, or clear communication from the management.

Another important issue was that, because the basic facilities were not reliable, I had to spend extra money outside the hostel just to meet basic needs, such as using toilets and eating outside more often. In the end, although the hostel may seem affordable at first, these additional expenses made the overall cost much higher than expected. However, I did not see enough preparation, alternative solutions, or clear communication from the management. Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was disappointing, and I don’t think the rating reflects the actual conditions. The bathrooms were very dirty and not sufficient for the number of guests. Hygiene and cleanliness need significant improvement. When you are staying in a hostel with many people, clean shared facilities and reliable basic services are essential. The Wi-Fi was also not working when I left, which made the overall experience even more inconvenient. The volunteers were the best part of the hostel. They were kind, helpful, and clearly doing their best despite the difficult circumstances. They deserve appreciation for their effort. Sadly, these issues affected my overall experience in Shkodër. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the basic conditions for future guests.

Excellent hostel in the centre of Shkoder

I stayed here two years ago and the owner remembered me: that is really something! He makes this hostel. The location near Shkoder's Central pedestrianised street and close to all amenities is perfect. The communal areas are great too. The dorm is a little overwhelming when you first enter due to the sheer number of beds/pods but don't be put off: both times I stayed here it was quiet at night and the pods are comfortable and dark. Shower and toilet facilities were cleaned regularly and I never had to wait for a cubicle.
