Awful, Avoid at All Costs

− AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Despite the photos looking very relaxing, my family had quite the opposite experience. On arrival, we were surprised to see an abundance of litter in the private parking area. However, most alarming was the sofa next to the building. This we later found out was a popular meeting area for members of the community to gather and drink to the early hours. To get to the front door we had to walk past all the bins and wall tagged with grafitti. The apartment itself was nothing like advertised. The apartment is supposed to be non-smoking, but my family was hit with a disgusting stench of cigarettes as we opened the door. It was so bad that only being there for one night was enough to get into all our clothes and children's soft toys which all needed cleaning once home. We had no hot water and were only made aware of this a couple of hours before check-in. We were told that the hot water was inconsistent. However, on arrival, it was nonexistant. We tried using the washing machine however this tripped the electrics for all the appliances in the apartment including the fridge and freezer that we had just put three days' worth of food in. The apartment had a locked window in the lounge which during the heatwave meant there was no way to reduce the temperature. There was no key to open the lounge window so the room became a heat trap. My disabled daughter was distraught as she quickly overheated. The photos present clean and tidy living spaces. However, after removing my shoes and socks at the door, I could feel all the grit under my feet and after walking around for 10 minutes they were blackened by grime. This was very alarming considering I have two toddlers crawling around. There was also an oven tray filled with fat which is a clear fire hazard and another frustration we had to deal with. As a result we ordered a takeaway as did not feel the cooking facilities were clean enough.

Wood not stay again for that reason but the flat itself was fine

Location was good and the rooms were good

− You couldn’t leve window open as the local alcoholic residents were sat on an old couch looking at everything you did and they were constantly arguing and the foul language was constant I was working nights at the time of my stay and it was impossible to get a decent sleep 😞

− There was no hot water running for the whole duration. I sent messages to customer services and to the host of the booking. I was told that it would be passed to the property manager but never heard a thing. I ended up booking other accommodation for 4 days out of my stay. Terrible!!!
