Disappointing - great location but property needs to be better maintained.

Great location - high on a hill, so you get a beautiful view of the Valley of a 1000 Hills. The property is built near a main road, so lots of traffic but this also makes it easy to get around. Also situated next door to a nature reserve. We had an issue with the preparedness and cleanliness of the apartment. The property owners/manager apologised for the state of the accommodation, upgraded and refunded us for the night we didn't spend there. Thankful for the manner in which they handled the situation.

− The original apartment we booked was not ready for occupation when we arrived - there were animal droppings in the bathroom, bath and toilet not cleaned, bed unmade with dirty sheets, dirty dining table and kitchen and open areas in the unit that are unfinished (pipes not covered and broken windows- not ideal when travelling with a toddler). Truly not in a state for visitors. We immediately tried to get a hold of the property owners/manager but they couldn't be reached - mind you we were checking in late afternoon/evening and travelling with a toddler. Escalated the matter with Booking.com. Fortunately, they noted the condition of the apartment, apologised, upgraded to a better (but still not entirely clean) unit. They also refunded us because we ended up not staying the first night because we were so uncomfortable and disappointed.

− The bathroom was dity it had shit all over probably from the animals around the properties

Overall the stay was good & peacefull. I would definitely go again

− Just the wifi reception was quite poor & the small/ private braai area wasn't available as the door couldn't open , but it still worth it

The place is good and safe but need a little maintenance and add curtains/blinds

− The Host doesn't care about the guests, i tried calling her several times on our arrival wanted to be assisted in accessing the keys in the box and couldn't answer her phone. We had to stay outside for almost 30 minutes. On Saturday we went out and came back in the evening only to find the place dark and thought it was load shedding up until we slept and woke up in the morning in the same situation. The host didn't bother to inform us if there's any problem with the power, we had to sleep in the dark and bath with cold water The place have a potential to be a great place but the host's attitude and service is very disappointing.

There was no stay. There was no property. Was scammed!
