− They charge a security deposit only after u have already paid so ur are sort of caught out if you don’t have a spare £225 on top of what the property costs and it takes 5-10 working days for you to receive the refund

The hot water worked well and the WiFi connected easily.

− The check in and key collection process was a farce. I was asked what time I wanted to check into the property after a long flight from Australia and duly asked for an early check in, as we arrived in Greenock early, only to be told that check in was from 3pm onwards. What's the point? I was told in the communication that I would be met at the property for the 3pm check in time but they failed to show up. The code for the lockbox on the outside of the property did not work, I panicked as I was left on the outside of the property with my daughter and our luggage but I was able to get into the property only because the cleaner was still at the property and was able to leave me her keys - she was only expecting me at 4pm!! The smell of cigarette smoke in the foyer, very Trainspotting like) was very distinct throughout our stay. The photo's on the website flattered the property so do not be fooled. Once we were finally able to enter, the floor throughout creaked like crazy, particularly the hallway which is lopsided. We had trouble in trying to close and lock the front door - some accommodation instructions in the shape of a folder with information and tips would not go amiss. The beds were old fashioned spring mattresses made with springs which were uncomfortable. The hand soap was watered down, one toilet roll for a 4 night stay, mould on the silicone between the bath and the floor, grouting that consistently came off under our feet on the bathroom floor, a wobbly toilet seat, no tea towel to dry dishes, no bin bags, no shower gel, no shampoo or conditioner. Some of these items are not included in the property details in the ad, apparently. Seriously? It's pretty clear that no money has been put into the up keep or maintenance of this property. The location leaves a lot to be desired (the nearby streets are filthy with litter) so you will not have your breath taken away with the views, or perhaps you will? Look elsewhere would be my advice.
