Self catering. Location was good for our purpose. Enough rooms and bathrooms for 3 couples 2 singles and 3 children

− Some rooms were quite cold and one had gaps in the wall that let the wind in. Some things needed attemtion eg lights that were not working, a shower not draining properly. We have provided the information to the host so hopefully these things are now fixed. We left something behind and the host can't find it although we know exactly where we left it and can provide a detailed description, and a local address and the cost of postage

We enjoyed our stay, loved the local area and the house was comfortable

The best part about this property is the communal living area/dining area/kitchen. It was a fantastic space that was great for catching up with friends and their families. The location as great too as it’s so close to Stow and acts as a good base for exploring other areas in the Cotswolds.

− The dishwasher is probably on its last legs as it didn’t wash very well. Bit of a nuisance when you are cooking and cleaning for a large group of people. The steps down into a couple of the bedrooms upstairs are a bit hazardous.

Location is ideal if you plan to visit many of the surrounding villages, popular with tourists. The grounds were lovely and the quality of the paddle boarding/tennis court was excellent. Often a facility that isn’t great. This isn’t the case here. Sizeable rooms, comfortable beds and very good bathrooms/showers.

− Some improvements to the games room could be made. The snooker table is below par and table tennis equipment needs an update.

Spacious comfortable house with great facilities

The padel and tennis courts and games room were fantastic. We brought our own tennis rackets, but didn’t need to as the property had tennis and padel rackets - which was great as it meant we could play padel too. The property is spacious, with plenty of comfy seating and a nice big table that we could all fit round. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a lovely BBQ using the gas BBQ which was clean and a good size to feed 14, with a full gas bottle. Mark the owner was friendly and helpful and responded quickly to sort out a couple of minor issues.

− As others have said, the dishwasher needs replacing. It is temperamental, sometimes stopping mid cycle, and even though we cleaned the filters and arms and replaced the salt, when it did do a full cycle it still didn’t always clean things properly, even if we rinsed them thoroughly before hand. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a pump for the water supply which makes a noise every time a tap is turned on or toilet flushed - we had to institute a no flushing and no washing hands at night policy.
