Wonderful hosts but the apartment needs some upgrades
7.0The hosts were perfect and very fast to respond to any communications. The apartment has a wonderful kitchen with modern and well maintained appliances. The TV is good quality with plenty of English channels. The apartment location is in a great location with easy access and walking distance to most of the places to see and close to restaurants and shops. Water pressure and hot water are excellent and the bathroom works well with a separate toilet. The apartment is secure in a secure location. The WiFi is relatively fast (by Latvian standards) but we did have to reset it once during our stay. The desk is excellent with a very good ergonomic chair and easy to access power points. The apartment is very large with excellent parking.
− The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the duvet and pillows were too small. Linen in general is a bit old and cheap. Since the apartment doesn't have air conditioning we had to sleep with the windows open but there is a lot of noise from the lane behind the building and very loud seagulls. Sleep was a bit difficult. It didn't help that the blinds were just verticals and the room were very bright so it needs some black out curtains. Across the back lane is a Casino and we had cigarette smoke waft through the place from time to time from smokers outside. With a bit of updating and some classic decor this place could rate a lot higher.
