Not worth the price tag!
4.0The outside was pretty. The bed was comfy. Nice stove and kitchen had some nicer appliances.
− * White powder in the dining room on large seat cushion and upstairs on side table in tv room. *Strongly scented laundry detergent used for sheets and towels. *Hot tub water smelled dirty and there was a lot of dirt, sediment, and sand around the seats. *1 hand towel only in kitchen. No dish drying rack. *No towels in bathroom or bedrooms downstairs. We found them after the fact in the dryer. *Cracked glass in kitchen. *Some windows didn’t have screens and several of the screens had big holes in the kitchen so we couldn’t open windows. *Glasses and cups were dirty and had extra film on them, so they had to be washed prior to using. *Freezer had trouble closing *Bathtub was quite slippery. No grips on the tub. *Noticeable mildew in the caulk and grout lines in the shower downstairs. *No placemats for the dining room table. *Both downstairs bed comforters have holes in them and you can see the stuffing inside. *House is right next to train tracks and what appears to be a cell tower or radio station right next door. *General disrepair including holes in downstairs bathroom door, deep gouge marks in the living room on the walls and on the door going outside from the kitchen.
Weekend in the woods
8.0The house was in a nice location. It was close to a lot of local wineries and breweries. The host also provided a nice guide on the area. The house was decorated beautifully rustic. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the time we spent around the dining room table talking, eating, laughing and playing cards. The sunporch was perfect for the kids to have their own space for playing. The house overall was perfect for our long weekend getaway.
− We did have a few unexpected issues with the hot tub nonfunctioning as well as issues with the heat. The host could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She communicated honestly with the issues and kept us appraised of the repairs. It was unfortunate we could not use the hot tub, but this was not the host's fault. We were given a partial refund which more than made up for any inconveniences we may have had.
