The home we could live in and love!

Wow! What an incredible house, neighborhood, beach, location, island and more! This is such a unique experience to live for a moment in this world with a beautiful renovated home to call home. We loved cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen, long baths in the long glorious bathtub, sitting on the front deck watching the world slowly go by and walking to the big beautiful beach for a swim and amazing sunsets. The area all around is absolutely stunning and the driving is dreamy on the west coast of the island. We could imagine ourselves living here and felt privileged to see it and feel the love of this home. One of our very favorite stays in Japan, so grateful!

海が近く３家族での利用にも十分な広さが有り、古民家を改装してあり落ちついた静かな空間で楽しく過ごせました

− 引き戸の音が気になりトイレ等夜中に開ける時の音が気になります。 また、トイレは綺麗ですが換気扇が無くて匂いが気になりました。 外からの視線が気になるところが有りました。

Peaceful winter city break

Great place, with everything you could need for a beachside stay. We stayed in winter so it was a little different, and we couldn't take advantage of all the amenities like bbq, hammock, canoes, SUP etc (these cost extra). However, to stay in winter was also fun, to listen to the wind blowing outside and walk on the beach with waves crashing, look at the stars at night - plus the little town was wonderfully quiet. All the facilities were new and comfortable, and there was everything necessary for cooking, even oil and salt was provided. The bath was so big! p.s. I notice someone mentioned there not being any shops for miles. There is in fact a convenience store (Yamazaki) located a 4-minute drive away, and they sell heaps of fresh veg/meat/fish/fruit as well as the usual things.

− A minor quibble - there were no extra blankets or quilts, just one light one each. It's perfectly fine for summer, or winter if you like sleeping in a warm room, but I prefer a cold room with extra blankets. One of the bedroom windows had no curtain so it was bright in the morning, but it's only a problem if you like to sleep in on a weekend like I do.
