Nice location, horrid property manager and experience overall

I loved the spaces, the AC, and the natural lighting.

− In my 13 years using Booking this is my first time writing an elaborate, negative review, but given the situation I believe it’s warranted to warn other travelers, especially families. Firstly, I did not receive communication about the instructions on accessing the unit and parking. I had to continuously reach out to receive it. Once I was at the location waiting outside was when I received the code and parking location. In my prior experience this is all taken care of in advance. About three hours after I had been installed in the apartment with my young daughter, a family of four walked into the unit. At the time my daughter was changing to go to the beach and she had to run to the bathroom and hide. As it turns out the apartment had been booked for the same time as our stay was by a couple with their adult son and his girlfriend. As we were trying to resolve the situation, we both separately called the property manager. The property manager told me that he would take care of the situation and put me on hold. He returned to the speaker call with the other family and told them that he would be kicking my daughter and I out of the unit so they could stay in the apartment. The family thought that was an abhorrent course of action and kindly offered us to stay at the apartment. They had family on the island they could stay with, but that was our only option as we had expanded our vacation last minute. If we had another place available to us, we would have left. We felt unsafe the rest of our stay.
