10.0The house is up a winding road that snakes into to the small hamlet overlooking the lake. Parking is designated for the house and is about 100m from the front door. The house is about 175 years old but has been completely renovated inside - 3 double bedrooms and a fantastic kitchen / diner on the top floor (same floor as main bedroom). The bathrooms are modern, there's a laundry room int he basement and the kitchen includes a dishwasher. The views onto the lake are spectacular. This is a house in a local community so it's quiet, and you'll meet just a few tourist cars in the area. It's completely away from the crowded tourist towns, but is only a short drive (15 mins?) to Mennagio and the main ferry port. There are small beaches with parking along the main road. Overall, a great place to use for exploring the area. Roberto, the landlord, is excellent and very helpful.
− Small mix up on booking - make sure you state the number of bedrooms you require because the downstairs (large) bedrooms are locked if not booked. We managed to get an extra bedroom prepared within 15 minutes of arrival - my mistake for not reading the booking form carefully enough!
