Excellent location, 15 minutes drive from Beamish and 30 minutes on the bus to Durham. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with fantastic facilities. Super easy check in process.

− Only thing that could be improved is the back yard, as the weather was nice some outdoor seating and a brush up to tidy it up a little would have been amazing.

This property is situated on a quiet residential road in Lanchester. It has a gorgeous view and it was extremely peaceful and quiet. Thankfully the property next door wasn’t occupied so we had great luck with that. It’s a perfect quiet location for families with young children particularly those who need the peace and quiet for sleep. The property is very close to the local mini village and it’s very easy to get onto the main road to drive to other neighbouring towns and Newcastle itself. The overall facilities in the property were great and had all that we needed.

− The mattresses in the two double bedrooms need replacing, they felt extremely soft and offered no support. In my opinion they should be replaced. There wasn’t enough pillows for three people, so if more guests were due to stay we’d of definitely needed more. The pillows provided are quite thin and so you need at least two per person. The bath plug didn’t work properly and so it was difficult to bathe my child properly. The property itself could also do with a touch up, there are lots of marks on the walls and stains on the sofas and carpet etc.

Lovely quiet location, close to Durham and within easy driving distance of Newcastle/Gateshead. Beautifully clean, modern furnishings and well equipped kitchen. We were travelling as a family and so found it really useful to have the washing machine and iron. Enjoyed the tea, coffee and biscuits that had been set out in the kitchen. We enjoyed staying here and would stay here again if coming back to this area.

− Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend, however a couple of things would have made our stay even better. We found the mattresses a bit soft for our liking and a couple of extra pillows would have been great. The kitchen is small so there was only a tiny table which made breakfast and mealtimes for 2 adults and 3 children a bit of a challenge. Appreciate there is limited space, but perhaps a foldable table and stackable stools would be a solution. Also, not sure if we missed it, but couldn't find an airer for drying clothes.
