Fabulous, blissful stay in a beautiful lodge

Everything in the Lodge itself was amazing. It was so lovely lots of room and storage space. The hosts thought of everything., it was lovely decorated furniture, bedrooms were lovely. The beds where so comfy too. We came as a couple but if I was with a family with kids there is so much in the lodge to entertain them games, books etc. The site itself was quiet and lovely. The site manager called Mark went out of his way and ran us to Aldi to get some shopping, showed us a few place to get Take aways and food and pointed out some places for us. We visited Silverdale, Arnside and Kendal which where all near. Booked into the Restaurant but had to cancel as had to go home early because of an emergency but staff were always so lovely and helpful. Everything was fabulous and would definately stay again. We probably had the best week too as it was scorching the only thing I wish I had done was to bring a sunbed to sunbathe although there was garden furniture and the lodge had a gate so my dog could roam about and not.escape.

− Wish the Restaurant had been open later on certain days but I guess the staff need a break too.

Lovely bank holiday away by the lakes and Morcombe there was plenty to see and do and also relax on site.

Wonderful relaxing stay in a well equipped, clean and comfortable lodge that felt like “home from home”

The property is in a great location for visiting the lakes and other places of interest in the area being close to both the A6 and M6. The park the lodge is on is quiet, very well maintained and each lodge has its own dedicated parking space, it is a large park but the layout of the lodges is such that it does not appear so. There is a lovely short woodland walk around the back of the lodge which was great for exercising our dog, and the walk around the lake itself was relaxing. There is a lot of wildlife on the site, including a pair of swans who were nesting during our stay. The lodge itself is spacious and extremely well equipped, comfortable and clean. Communication with the host prior to our stay was prompt and clear. We chose this lodge because dogs were accepted and our dog who is blind and deaf felt quite at home. There were no nasty surprises and if in the area in the future would love to stay here again.

− Nothing that we really didn’t like. But on one occasion I had to resort to Google maps of the park when walking and I lost myself and which direction I needed to go to get back to the lodge.

This place truly feels like home. We loved the cosy living room with its comfortable sofa fireplace and large TV. Having three children meant a shared bedroom was perfect. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and meal preparation. A huge bonus was the chance to see a clear beautiful night sky filled with stars and planets!

− Toiletries like body soap and hand wash liquid weren’t provided so remember to bring some from home. The toilet door was also difficult to close possibly because steam made the wood panel heavy.

Fantastic. In total my family of 5 have stayed in 7 lodges at this park as we use it regularly as a base to visit family nearby. Out of all stays this particular lodge has been the best so far. A lot of thought has been put into this one…. Super comfortable all round, kitchen was equipped extremely well for family and the children’s room is decorated with them in mind- lots of books and games to make them welcome. Lots of towels provided. Host was very welcoming via messages. I was really impressed that I was forwarded information of water on site being temporarily off for maintenance, giving the opportunity for me to prepare so that it didn’t effect us for the short time- shows real care for guest.
