Great location, lovely house, but we feel it needs the above issues dealing with.
7.0A lovely house with very unique and quirky decor. It was clean and comfortable. Lovely conservatory, and we can only imagine what the view was like…..we had thick fog for the two days we were there, which was unfortunate. However, the location is great to explore the wonderful coastline.
− We arrived at 16:15 in the thick fog and couldn’t find the property. We drove about a mile passed it. The instructions to find the house would be better saying turn onto Church Lane and it’s the second on the left! The house was so cold we had to keep our coats on for quite a while after arriving. The thermostat was set to 15 deg. Knowing that your guests aren’t allowed to check in until 4pm, especially in winter, it would have been a nice welcome touch for a light to have been turned on and the heating turned up. We later found out, from the owner himself, that the hall radiator had been taken off to powder coat. Was this really an essential job to be done in the winter months? There was also no radiator in the back sitting room, altho they had provided an electric heater. It would have been nice if the log basket had of been stocked, and matches provided to light the log burner with. Neither of the TVs worked. Apparently they had had new WiFi installed and were having TV connection issues. It was advertised as having TVs, which we expected to work, not just for decoration. We contacted the owner as he’d volunteered his number, and told us that he was aware and that we had to hotspot from our phones !! The shower rose on first floor landing bathroom didn’t work. The wooden towel rail in the first floor en suite bathroom was broken. Some of the wooden floors were rough, small rugs by the beds would be a nice touch. Basic provisions, like a salt and pepper mill would have been a nice touch.
Fabulous
10.0Beautiful house with great owners. Very accommodating as stranded due to snow. Village quiet but plenty of costal walks weather permitting Had 2 family’s stay with plenty of room
− Might benefit from having an high chair for infants or notification to bring one. Also the TV difficult to access due to wifi connection. Not enough to spoil the holiday though

7.0Location,most parts of house
− Bad uncomfortable matresses, downstairs tvs not working, shower upstairs not working, lights kept tripping if the outside light was put on.
It worked for our special Weekend, well worth the trip.
8.0Quirky, nice atmosphere, not cramped, rest for our six person group.

Beautiful quirky house in small village, needs a few finishing touches
8.0Great location for local beaches, house has very quirky decor which we loved. Sea view from some rooms. Beautiful small village with cricket pitch across the road from house, hotel with food and bar 5 mins walk has stunning views over Robin Hoods Bay. House well equipped and clean. Needs a few finishing touches
− No cushions for garden furniture, I emailed 3 times to ask about them but got nowhere, garden table dirty, house not suitable for young children or infirm, no hand rail to top floor, garden not fenced in, steep steps to front door. Unfinished plug sockets in bedroom, damp under window in 1 bathroom, 2 sitting rooms would be better knocking in to one so everyone could sit together rather than 4 people in each. No tin opener and wine fridges in kitchen didn’t work you couldn’t turn them low. There’s a small holiday let on site attached to house which we didn’t know about but it wasn’t an issue
Lovely Ranworth house!
10.0Everything about the house. Its really lovely. The dining area my favourite. It is quiet and peaceful there. The quirky decor. The bed linen is crisp and ironed. Everything!
− Nothing really. There's a couple of little jobs needing doing eg the tap in my bathroom needing fixing. A few little things like that. It could do with an instruction book for use of various items in the kitchen, the Bose speakers were a complete mystery and the tv in the lounge we gave up on. When we arrived at the property the satnav took us up the lane. I tried calling the number we were given but it was out of office hours so we were stuck. We found it eventually. In the directions it just needs 'turn right onto Church Road, the property is the 2nd house on the left'.
