− We booked a 2-night stay in late December. Upon arrival the unit was very hot. We turned on the air conditioning but it wasn't generating any cooling and turned itself off every few minutes, with a fault light on the indoor unit. We contacted the property manager, who advised us that the air con was under warranty and the owners wanted to claim on warranty, and in the meantime we should open the windows. By 10am the next morning we had heard nothing, so re-contacted the property manager. She made it clear that as the owners were only in the early stage of the warranty claim process there would be no repair during our stay. We requested a full refund due to the accommodation being not as advertised. The owners refused, offering only $300 from an almost $900 booking, and then only on the condition that we vacate the property one night early. This in no way compensated for our discomfort during the first night, inconvenience at having to find somewhere to relocate and considerable financial outlay to move. We also found the property manager unprofessional. She tried to guilt trip us by telling us to put ourselves in her shoes and that we should appreciate how nice the accommodation was (despite the fact it was effectively uninhabitable). She was also very patronising, stating that if we considered air conditioning essential we could leave. This was in a 2-day period with temperatures over 35 degrees, a BOM heatwave warning in place, and us travelling with small children staying in a unit with no functioning air conditioning. Whether we consider it 'essential' or not, we paid for accommodation with air conditioning and they did nothing to resolve it during our stay. The owners prioritised their profits over providing the advertised amenities and have no care or empathy for their guests. We also escalated it to booking.com who sided with the owners. If something goes wrong, A Sunny Place and the owners aren't interested in fixing it

The property had everything we would like for a comfortable stay and more! It was very thoughtfully decorated and even had beach towels! It had enough space for our family of six. It was close to the beach and had a lovely pool and spa, not to mention the tennis court. The air con was appreciated. Val was very friendly and quick to reply to our messages. We had a lovely and relaxing holiday.

We had a wonderful stay and it was perfect for our needs. The beds we found amazing and had the best nights sleep which is usually difficult when travelling. Really enjoyed and will stay again :)
