A hidden gem in the middle of the forest Best if you want calm and nature around you for your trip The host couple is really welcoming and friendly. They tried to introduce good place and view around Chiba for us. They gave us a ride on their scooter to see the rice fields. If the weather is good you can see a lot of stars with the Milky way

Cozy Japanese style homestay in the countryside with outdoor bath and activities

The place is amazing in a beautiful Japanese style building on a mountain slope. We arrived with a rented car but I think it's maybe 20-30 minutes to the nearest train station by walk. I heard the train ride there is incredible as well in sakura time but didn't have time to try it. The host family lives nextdoor, but you have a big house and yard all for yourself with all the privacy. There is a cozy fireplace, kitchen with all the amenities, TV and also an outdoor bath tube which was one of the best things. Also the host can rent you a tuktuk which was a special and unforgettable experience to drive in the countryside. We were lucky to visit by the best sakura time and the weather was also good. I also recommend trying the mochi making experience with the host family. You can also have a kotatsu outside for the evening. I'm pretty sure if you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed.
