Could be a very nice stay if the rooms were cleaned better

The receptionists were really nice. The location is right next to train station which was very convenient. Room looked nice.

− I feel bad for saying this because we didn’t get the vibe like the hotel was careless or anything like that but the room smelled bad and we just couldn’t get rid of the smell. The hotel provides room deodorants which we tried but it didn’t do much. In addition there was a ventilation shaft on one of the walls with a propeller and on the other side of it there was a nest and bird feces which also was a bit unpleasant. Overall that made the room feel not clean. Another weird thing is that when we searched for other accommodation options in the area we realized this hotel appeared many times under different Vacations STAY numbers with different rankings. Some were low. So we kind of felt like if we had seen that earlier we might have gotten a better sense of what’s coming.

Good location next to a fish market. The room is relatively spacious compared to other Japanese hotels.

− The mattresses had strong musty smell making it hard to sleep at night.

Very large and nice traditional Japanese room; good bathroom. Very clean and convenient location.

− No breakfast offered and no suggestions from front desk. We found a good one on our own, but it took time.

The room we stayed in was like a small traditional Japanese apartment space - a big tatami room with the beddings, a bathroom and small entryway. The lobby seems more like a house living room and not like a hotel but check-in was easy.
