1.0Nothing, because we were unable to access the cabin due to being stuck on the lane leading to the cabin. We were 4 wheels spinning only 10 yards up the lane. This was not my first time in the mountains, nor was it my first time on unpaved roads. It was however the first time I have ever been so badly stuck we had to call the volunteer fire dept to help get us out. They shoveled rock and dirt under all 4 tires for almost 45 minutes till we could gain enough traction to back out. We arrived quite late due to unplanned circumstances. We attempted to call the owners but it went to voice mail. We finally reached them the following morning and they first offered a discounted rate, I refused. They finally agreed to notify booking to refund our full payment since we were unable to access the property. I am currently waiting on the refund. I have been at high places, and never had trouble getting in or out before this. I am an experienced driver, with 28 years of driving ambulances, I have been driving for over 50 years, being stranded in the wee hours is not my idea of a good time. I am sure that better maintenance on the access road could have prevented this unfortunate situation. I look forward to the refund of my complete reservation payment.
We loved the peace and quiet while have everything we needed at the cabin. We cannot wait to book our next trip.
