Worst experience ever! The host take advance of his position assuring me a refund but once he got back the keys he refus

− I don’t think I have enough words to express how disgusting is this place and how much disappointed I am from the host. Place was incredible dirty, location looks like an horror movie and mattresses were the most horrible thing I had ever seen in my life, moreover no linen were provided. We arrived late in the afternoon and after a long process to check in we entered the apartment and we couldn’t had a worst experience. I asked booking and the host for a refund but despite the host texted me he agreed to refund us, once he got the keys he waited 1 hour just to decline the refund pretending we have been in the apartment for 3 hours so we had to pay! Funny things we waited for him to get back to us because when I texted him about the place he didn’t get back for over 1 hour and now he is pretending we stayed in his place too long. Truth is we are a family of 4 and after an international flights looking for another accommodation, while dealing with a refund, is not the best welcoming experience. Moreover it is not easy to find another place from that location. I really don’t understand how a platform as booking.com allow this kind of listing. My daughter also forgot a book she really cared about, I know it wasn’t the host fault but when I asked him if I could pick it up he didn’t replied and waited 2 hours to get back to me. I really hope no one will make my own mistake and book this disgusting place.
