Relaxing, quiet, cosey, mountain view retreat

We stayed for a week just two of us for a relaxing week after a busy 2 weeks in big cities, so this was the perfect house to relax in, drive around the area and unwind. The Mountain view comes and goes as the clouds pass, and when they're out in the sunshine, the view from the porch is magnificent. Even one day in the rain we found the place super cosey tucked in the woods with the views beyond to mountains on one side. The hosts were quick to reply and very friendly and informative on advice for supermarkets etc. The house was very clean on arrival and the hosts have appointed it very well, leaving you coffee, popcorn and toiletries as well as fire pit starter kits, and everything needed to cook and entertain. The rooms are huge and the property can be 3 bedrooms as described or, theres a cute little adjoining hallway which can easily seperate the place into 2 apartments really, a 1 bed and bathroom and kitchenette living room, and a 2 bed (1 is a Futon sofa in office room), 2 bathroom with kitchen living room. Both sections have washing machines and driers, and all the rooms have good aircon / heating. Place is easy to find and entrance is an easy to enter code on gate, and then a code on front door, really easy. There's parking easily for 4 or 5 cars, and the outside space is huge and well kept for people to play outdoor games in (they've left plenty to play with too). Showers were great, plenty of hot water. The house is only 13min drive to Dahlonega where you can get anything you'd need on holiday, and Dahlonega is a really beautiful tourist town to explore with its shops and restaurants and cafes. We went further on to Blue ridge scenic railway, Anne Ruby Falls, Brass Bald Mountain top, Lake Lanier, Helen all within 45mins-1hr drive and had a blast exploring the area on the big mountain / pine forest roads surrounding the property. I'd thoroughly recommend drinks in 52 West Brewing, it's only 6min drive away.

− There's nothing I didn't like about the property, it's everything it says it is, and perfect if you're looking for quiet countryside holiday house on the doorstep of the Blue Ridge Mountains and you have a car.

Priceless family memories…… Rust Roost was absolutely perfect!

We originally chose this location as it was close to the Atlanta Motorsport complex for the driving experience. But this was soooo much more. We got to spend quality family time with our son. Sitting around the fire pit enjoying the peaceful beautiful view of the mountains. Priceless!!! We all loved everything about it. From the yummy cinnamon rolls at Foothills grill to the quaint downtown dahlonega. We wanted to stay longer. Thank you for sharing your special Rustic Roosr hideaway!

We had everything we needed, the Rustic Roost was well equipped with everything one would need! Home away from home! Very clean and comfy , and well decorated! Absolutely adorable!💕

− The water pressure could have been a little stronger but wasn’t really an issue.

A perfect get-away spot!

This was a brothers trip for myself and two of my brothers to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This place was perfect. It was just outside of Dahlonega enough to give you that country feel but still close enough that getting supplies wasn’t a major event. As for the property itself, amazing! Plenty of space outdoors for activities and enough room inside to not feel like you’re falling over one another. We all agreed, we’ll be staying here again.

The house was well stocked with anything we could ask for. Plenty of comfortable furniture to relax with our friends. Great access to the things we came to see. Hosts were readily available to answer questions for general property information. Would happily stay here again!

− The third bedroom has a futon for a bed. An actual bed would seem to make more sense as there were already two living rooms.
