Lovely characterful, well equipped house in gorgeous old town
10.0The apartment was so lovely! Everything was clean, tidy and well equipped. The decor was fresh and clearly updated in the last couple of years, and we loved the original features like the fireplace and doors! The garden is great for a sunny day with both loungers and a dining set. The neighbours are quiet, the only noise is the mopeds going up the street (the only vehicles that fit the small alleyways!). The bathrooms were nice and spacious, with plenty of pressure in the shower water. Shower gel and hand-wash was provided and there were enough towels for the three of us. The host was very organised and sent us details of how to check in, and then was attentive via messages during our stay. The host was also incredibly accommodating on our last day to let us leave our bags and check out a bit later which we're really grateful for! An additional touch was the wine, beer and snacks the host left for us - a really nice surprise and very much welcomed after a long journey! All round lovely stay and would highly recommend.
− There wasn't anything we didn't like! Just double check the details on time of year the hot tub is open - I missed this information and was slightly disappointed we were out of season for it. The host did offer to open at a cost but we decided not to and it was the right choice - we were out and about most days, and found we probably wouldn't have made good use out of it. As others have said just be aware that the stairs are incredibly steep! We were fine with it and had no problems - but it's an old house with character so it's to be expected.
