Great place, clean, excellent location and facilities

All in all, a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay right on a lovely, almost private beach.

Inside the house was clean, neat and tidy upon arrival. The floors were tiled all the way through which made it easy keeping the floors clean. There were numerous”toys” in the property such as fishing rods and golf clubs to keep us interested during our stay. Of course the main event was the beachfront location and the dog and ourselves enjoyed that at least twice a day. It was also just a short walk to Goodys the hospitality venue.

− While the house itself was clean, the crockery was not and we had to hand wash most of the plates and pans due to food build up. Also the BBQ was not clean, at least to our standard, which didn’t matter as we used our own small Weber which we usually take with us for a longer stay. The outside patio of the house was covered in leaves upon our arrival which we swept up but as we were to learn, with the number of gum trees around the property this is mostly unavoidable.

The house was big enough for the 7 of us, and a quick walk from the back gate straight to the beach. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The local convenience store does excellent fish and chips too. Also has a good selection of supplies of the little things you always forget.to pack.

− It was only minor, and really only a problem at high tide (which was unfortunately was the only times we were available to walk on the beach due to our schedule). There were a number of large fallen trees blocking our ability to walk along the beach unless the tide was right out.

Beautiful location at Toogum beach. High tides have eroded the first dune causing trees to fall and blocking the beach access at high tide. But there are other ways to get down to the beach. The couch was very nice and room for all 5 of us. Loved the layout with the kitchen central to the house.

− Partially blocked drain in ensuite basin. Main bathroom basin gets stuck in plugged in position - almost had an over flow - no outlet for over filled basin. Ensuite bathroom blind lacks a tilt adjustment wand. We were misinformed about bed size in one bedroom - the single there is actually a King Single - so bottom sheet didn’t fit. Side table to the right of TV stand is rickety. The living room rug was a trip hazard when it humps up from someones foot pushing against it while sitting down and then getting up and tripping over the hump.
