1.0Facilities: Very average. Breakfast: Incredibly basic and disappointing. Rooms: Decent, but nowhere near enough to make up for the service. Staff: The reception staff were entirely uncooperative and unhelpful throughout this ordeal
− We had an incredibly disappointing stay at Hotel Kimaya by the Sea, marred by a complete lack of customer service, endless finger-pointing, and unresolved billing issues. The Booking & Payment Nightmare: Five days before our trip, we changed our booking from triple occupancy to double occupancy because a friend had to bring her family instead. The booking platform's customer care explicitly assured us they would adjust the price we had already paid. However, when we arrived at the property, nothing had been updated. Our friend had to book a separate room for her family for the first night, while we spent hours of our vacation on the phone with customer care and the property manager, Neha. Neither took accountability—both kept passing the responsibility back and forth, promising it would be adjusted. Despite our explicit requests to settle the refund before checkout, it was completely ignored. To date, we have received absolutely no refund. To top off a miserable experience, they charged us an additional mattress fee for the second day and nickel-and-dimed us by charging 300 Rs for a single broken cup upon checkout. This was a horrible experience that ruined our peace of mind. Both the booking platform and Hotel Kimaya management showed a complete lack of professionalism and basic courtesy.
Fantastic stay for a fantastic price
9.0Great location, very close to beach and shops, the nightlife on beach is a big wow! Amazing hotel staff, couldn’t ask for better, breakfast (they do provide cereals, toast, omelettes as well) & Indian dinner were superb. Room lovely & very comfortable. Pool great too. Highly recommended
