Great house for a chilled weekend catch up

Great house for a get together of friends. Comfortable with everything we needed. Nice outdoors space, hot tub and games room, the slightly wonky pool table added to the entertainment

− A few tired areas could use a decoration and the odd bit of cleaning in some rooms. But overall nothing major that would detract from staying here.

The house was great for our short stay and very local to the town centre. The bedrooms were a good size and plenty of room in the lounge and dining room. Easy parking and a quiet neighbourhood. The bath towels were soft and having a towelling robe each was a nice touch. 8 of us stayed and it worked well and was good value for money. We didn’t use the pool room down the garden because the weather was wet and cold but that looked like a nice addition for the summer time. Overall our stay was good. The host was very helpful and friendly.

− Only minor things really which would have made our stay even better - an extra pillow (or a bigger pillow) on the beds, a hand towel in each bathroom so we didn’t have to use the bath towels and more seating in the front room.

It was spacious and everything was within walking distance to the town centre

Disappointing stay

− The property was not very clean and needed many repairs. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a used grill pan, dirty kitchen utensils, stained oven gloves and one grubby t-towel. Cupboard doors were falling off, the sink in our room was filthy and the floor was chipped. Several of the beds had small hairs on the sheets and the mattresses were very uncomfortable. It really needs some TLC.
