− Totally the worst place. No Hygiene. Bugs in the bed. Totally the worst place to stay. Nothing is there in the room.

One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka! Let me explain why. First, the host is extremely accommodating, open and a very nice person. He will organise and recommend everything you could imagine for you. Second, the beach, right infront of the place is simply beautiful. Way more beautiful than most other touristic beaches and also only a few tourists. The room is spacious, the breakfast very delicious. Overall we had an amazing experience and will definitely come back!

1. The owner Navoda is very friendly and he tried his best to get all our requests. Just ask him anything! We told him what we like for breakfast and he tried to prepare for us. We could put our cold drink in the family fridge 👍 2.We could also use the washing machine ( detergent was also provided) and hung our clothes at the back yard. 3. Location is great as we came from Haputale by bus, and bus stop just next to the home stay. Beach is only 5 min away, same as the turtle hatchery and ayuveda spa Center. 4. Our room #4 which face the garden on the ground floor which has ac, fan and mosquito net. Room is big and bed is comfortable 5. Navoda also provided a good price for Madu river boat tour. and tuk tuk tour or transportation We highly recommend the place for the price we paid and the hospitality

Room was clean and the host and his mother were very nice, also the traditional food was very very good. Also very familiary. If you want to, you get a little sri lanka- history lesson:) both speak english very well. Tipp if you like it non-touristic: go to the little beach area of the foto below or do a kayak tour on the madampe lake.

I had a wonderful stay at the villa. My room was very spacious (30m2) and clean. I had my private bathroom. I enjoyed the big bed, comfortable matress, and moskito net. I had both fan and AC. The internet speed is fast and I had a table and chair,so it was perfect to work remotely. I had garden view, which was very nice. I had yummy local breakfast and papaya fruit juice from the family. The business owner and family are very friendly and supportive in all needs: wifi/internet connection, laundry service, transportation, everything. I booked a guided tour from the family: it was perfectly organized and included a magical river safari, a temple visit, the tsunami museum, puppet museum, and cinnamon production and fields, and rice fields. We also visited the turtle sanctuary. I also booked an ayurveda consultation from an Ayurveda doctor which was a unique experience. The beach is in 5 minutes walking distance. So, in the morning I went jogging at the beach. In the evening, there are beautiful sunsets, and at night, there are glowworms at the beach. The beach is very beautiful and natural. Clean and not many tourists. There is a big supermarket nearby which is also a big plus. I had unforgettable days. I can truly recommend the stay at Ananda Villa.
