Great potential but needs attention..

The location for us was the key reason for selecting the property, it was quiet and located in safe cul-de-sac The host was helpful and allowed us to check in early after a long flight back from the USA

− The rear garden was the biggest disappointment as we had selected this property as it had a garden advertised, it was overgrown with tall weeds penetrating the poorly laid astro turf, the patio area was rotten and generally the whole space was totally unusable. The bedding was clean but the rest of the property needed a good deep clean, including the oven which we chose not to use during our 12 night stay. I would also suggest to the host that any food stuffs left from previous clients are removed from cupboards and fridges, also the old pair of used slippers in the bedroom drawer! The host organised a new carpet to be fitted during our stay which we happily agreed to but there was no hoover to clean up the mess inevitable with a new carpet, the old carpet also filled the outside bins so we had to take our own rubbish to the local waste site at Castleford. It has the potential to be a good holiday rental for families or couples but it needs attention. Had we had other opportunities at the time we wouldn't have stayed so long.

Spacious modern house

Modern house, easy to access with lockbox, parking space, clean (though the mop & bucket were left in the hallway!), comfortable, just what we needed for a one night stay close to the motorway to break up our journey.

− There was a problem with the lights tripping out the electric box, it might have just been a bulb going, but I informed the host to take a look. A microwave, toaster and wooden spoon would be a handy addition to the kitchen.
