− Avoid – Property Not Available, Complete Scam Listing I booked this property for a group of 10 guests for 25th July 2025 through Booking.com. Upon arrival, we were met by a woman who informed us that the previous tenants — who listed the property — were evicted months ago, and the listing should have been removed. The property was not available or suitable to stay in, and we were left stranded with no place to go. I tried contacting Booking.com for over an hour before finally being told to wait 45 minutes for a response from a “host” who no longer even manages the property. With guests arriving and nowhere to stay, we were forced to book another accommodation last-minute at our own expense, resulting in a double payment — one for a property we couldn’t use. It has now been almost a week and I still haven’t received any response or refund from Booking.com. This listing should be taken down immediately to prevent other people from being scammed in the same way. Extremely disappointing experience.

open living space worked really well. the fire in the lounge area was lovely. Lots of off street parking.

− Struggled with heating in the front 2 bedrooms, so people had to sleep in extra layers. Had to search for towels. A lip on the relatively steep drive which would have caused issues with my other car if we'd brought it. The shower trays didn't empty and struggled with the shower temperature in the master.

Enjoyable stay, requires care and repair to get back to “Deluxe property”( as seen online)

The layout of the kitchen meant that all our guests could be together when we were preparing meals. Plenty of living space.

− Previously damaged items within the home - cupboard handles, settee leg (unable to use), pool table useless as wonky, unable to play, shower overflowed in bedroom near stairs, outside decking step missing a panel so dangerous for our toddler, rubbish littering the garden. We were unable to use the wooden table and chairs on the decking as there were brambles and it was a complete mess with rubbish and garden waste. The summer house was an eyesore. We were made aware that the bi-fold doors were previously broken. Communication with hosts was poor as instructions to access property were sent after the check in time. Cleaners were still at property when we arrived. Small detail - no dishwasher tablets, no tea towels, so had to dry dishes with hand towels. No serving dishes.
