Donner Lake Delight
10.0This is an exceptional property on the edge of Donner Lake with full lake views and private access. We had four wonderful days staying here and would definitely stay there again. Whilst there aren’t too many local facilities for food, the nearby town of Truckee (10 minutes drive) has a wonderful array of coffee shops, places to eat and a large Safeway supermarket. Further in you will find old Truckee which is a beautiful historic village with lovely non-chain shops offering clothing, gifts, mountain gear and more. Old Truckee is a must visit. Lake Tahoe, which is over commercialised, is about 30 minutes drive from the accommodation. We visited in summer when water sports, hiking and outdoor activities are a must. In winter it seems to be a hub for snow sports.
