At first, we were very worried about the previous reviews about the cleanliness, the noisy air conditioning, and the lack of communication with the owner. However, everything turned out to be great. The place was clean, well-equipped, the price was great, and communication with the owner was excellent, both through booking and WhatsApp. We had one double bedroom and another with four single beds. There was also the option of sleeping on a sofa bed. The kitchen was well-equipped, with cutlery, a frying pan, and pots. The views from the balcony were also great, with views of the entire bay, and fireworks were visible every night.

− We lacked some space for things in the wardrobe or on the shelves, and we also lacked some adapters for the devices, so we had to use our own

− Niezgodność z ustaleniami jeśli chodzi o liczbę łóżek ( na zdjęciu i w opisie poza podwójnym miały być 4 pojedyncze a w rzeczywistości były 2), w konsekwencji musieliśmy rozłożyć sofę w salonie.

Nice view and that's it

− Oh well... Where to start... 1. Our key was not there and after the whole day of travel with 3 kids waiting 2 hours at 10pm was not a pleasure 2. Property manager scared to death another family who was inside 3. We got placed in a new apartment and it was midnight (they paid for taxi which was nice) 4. We got back to the original place the day after and it felt quite ok until... 5. We said that we cannot open the corridor door and we got advice to push, twist, use power in order to open. Two days later the key got broken and we were charged 110eu!!!! For a man who came and took out the broken part and gave us a new key. 110eu!!! Well... Following the manager way of thinking you as a guest should call then every time you cannot open the door so you not risking the broken key and fine. 6. We wrote a complaint via booking as adviced by the manager. Booking gave them 5 working days to answer but they did not even answer. Booking did the job though! They paid us 35eu compensation (out of 100eu which we wanted back for the first night + 110 for the lock Smith). Then booking wanted to pay for the key but they needed the receipt for the Lock Smith and we have never got it. Communication with manager is a joke. We only get information "I will come back to you with more information". 7. Just wanted to write that our stay in this place was in the end of April and I am writing the review in Juli because I wanted to wait and see if we can agree with manager or not but obviously it is a business "earn money on turists". So no... We are not recommending them.

The only thing I liked was nice view from the balcony

− This was actually my first time writing a review on Booking. I was traveling with my family and relatives at the end of June. The day after we checked in, we found a huge cockroach in the bedroom. I haven’t seen cockroaches in decades—and I travel a lot. My wife, our 4-month-old baby, and I had to move into the living room, which was really inconvenient. I messaged the host to let him know, and he replied saying it’s a common thing in Malta and that we should keep the windows closed. The problem is, there’s really only one proper window—the balcony door. Even with that closed, we found two more cockroaches the next day. I eventually realized they were coming from the closet in the bedroom. One of the closet doors was locked, but I could hear water leaking behind it, so I’m guessing there was a shaft or some kind of opening back there. I messaged the host again and asked if he could offer us a different place (since the apartment was listed by a real estate agency), but got no reply. I contacted Booking.com, and they said they would reach out to the host. It’s been almost two weeks since then, and I still haven’t heard back. We kept finding cockroaches every day. Eventually, I gave up on getting help and bought duct tape to seal the holes in the closet. That helped a bit, but we still saw a few more roaches before we left. Besides the cockroaches, there were other issues too: 1. The apartment has a nice view from the balcony, but the back part is basically in a basement. 2. All the air conditioners are super loud, and some make weird noises—I’ve never experienced anything like it. 3. One of the bedrooms has really low, squeaky beds. 4. The large pan in the kitchen leaks, and all the cutlery is super cheap. 5. There’s only one shower, and weirdly, it’s inside one of the bedrooms instead of a shared space. View from the balcony was lovely. Kitchen dining area was large and spacious. Easy to walk into Mellieha.

− The appartment was not ready when agreed, we had to wait another two hours before we could get in as it had not been cleaned on time. Main bedroom was noisy - a generator was constantly on. Shower doors in ensuite were not fitted properly so water spilt out into the bathroom floor every time we used it. It could have been cleaner.
