Disappointing cottage and more disappointing host
1.0Cute cottage, and outbuilding , but sadly the romance quickly ended with the very busy road adjacent with farmers tractors and flashing orange lights at 11pm
− Like ? The host replied promptly via Whatsapp to ALL the issues / concerns we had regarding Key box was open - number already set Fridge was leaking water The dead flies in the utility The drain cleaning rod left across the garden chair The shower in the master bedroom that was broken and I had to use duck tape to hold the shower head up The junk in the cupboards that didn't allow for clothes to be hung up The second bedroom has about 200 mm at the bottom of the bed to walk around. The host couldn't help the neighbours next door and across the road had dogs but it would have been good to know before we arrived with another dog of our own as the barking started and continued ....... The house was generally unclean and problematic when we asked for the additional £ 150 we paid for cleaning after our dog attended , we were offered just £ 50 , which I refused out of principle.. I have been told all the comments made have been acted on, and repaired but sadly they thought the stress and anxiety caused was only worth £ 50.
Excellent property and location - only ‘blip’ was the road noise
8.0Location suited our needs to visit family - cottage was lovely with excellent fittings etc - and a lovely summer house, if we had needed it
