We had a fantastic stay and would love to come back!
8.0Amazing location, great for large families!
− Liked it all!
Disappointing and frustrating.
4.0The location is not too far from the shops and pretty harbour. The bedrooms were a fair size. The two bathrooms have been refurbished to a good standard and the waterfall shower is delightful. The attractive kitchen-diner easily sat our 6 adults with room to move around and the outdoor patio seating is and added bonus. The host offered to make up a ground floor bedroom for our mobility challenged party member.
− The host claimed that parking was "just around the corner" however this was limited to 3 hours (what use is that when staying overnight?) The 24 hour parking was a very long walk away and cost £13.50 per car per day! Our touring party of 6, had 3 cars!! The ground floor bedroom promised by the host because we had a mobility challenged party member, existed, but on arrival we discovered that the nearest bathroom was either in the basement or on the first floor! How did she think that was ever going to work? We didn't expect complimentary hand cream, but There was no handwash or soap in any bathroom (basic hygiene) and the one bathroom towel and bathmat smelt horribly musty. The bedding and towels were of a hostel standard, coarse and scratchy. It may suit large families, but not groups of mature adults. The promised iron could not be found, even the cleaner had no idea. There was a Garage conversion at the bottom of the garden, also rented out by the same host. This overlooked our patio and kitchen diner and the couple staying there, came over complaining that they were getting unwanted piped music. Finally, the windows were really hard to open and the ground floor bedroom window could not be opened at all! Thank heavens we were only there for 2 days.
Lovely cottage for a few families. Plenty of beds and everything of good quality.
9.0It was very spacious and very well equipped. Great for a few families.
