Overall great stay, would definitely book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was cosy, warm, and well-stocked. The kids absolutely loved the bunk room, the pull-out bed in the lounge was super handy and easy to use, and having so much space and great bathroom facilities in such an awesome location was perfect for our group.

Cleaners still working onsite at check-in. House compendium outdated. More towels would be nice. Ground floor double bed not overly comfortable. Some important lighting wasn’t working. Cooking pans may need replacing.

- Awesome location. - Great host. - Plenty of bathrooms for the number of adults staying. - Has a BBQ and a second fridge/freezer, which was really handy for a large group. - Big rooms and comfy beds, including the bunk beds, which were perfectly fine for adults. Note: We had a larger group and needed more beds than this booking alone provided. We also booked a second unit located under the main house called “Roberts Street Central.” This really increased the capacity, and our group of 21 adults had an amazing and comfortable stay. Both bookings are run by the same host, which made everything easy to organise.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Fabulous place to stay, close to lake and town

8.0

We had a fabulous stay at Fletcher House and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The location is unbeatable — stunning lake views, an easy walk to both the lake and town and a huge reserve right across the road that the kids absolutely loved for races, duck‑duck‑goose and endless games of bat down. The kitchen was well equipped with quality gear, including plastic plates and cups for the kids and having two fridges was incredibly handy for our group of five families. It was a treat to stay somewhere that actually has sharp knives. The bathroom amenities were lovely and the shower pressure was awesome. We accidentally went to the front of the house where the host Michael lives but he kindly directed us to the correct entrance at the back and even gave us a tour. Michael was very friendly and helped us out with a couple of mishaps during our stay, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments for us. When we booked earlier this year, the listing advertised 7 bedrooms, a games room, 2 living areas and bathtubs (ideal for bathing the babies) and that configuration perfectly suited our group of 19. On arrival, we discovered the property had been renovated and now has only 5 bedrooms, a single living area with a pull‑down double bed and no bathtub or games room. The renovations also appeared incomplete. We had to pick up screws and nails from the driveway before we could park and some of the tacks on the stairs weren’t secured properly, which caused a few minor injuries. There was masking tape in several places where work hadn’t been finished. Although the two downstairs rooms sleep 12 people, there’s no toilet on that level, which made things quite inconvenient. With so many of us, we had a lot of washing, so an indoor drying rack would have been really helpful alongside the outdoor line. A couple of removable baby gates for the stairs would also have been handy on the main floor.

The house and location was great, just the bathrooms for the amount of people staying was average.
