On a positive note, seeing wild deer in the backyard was really special—such a memorable sight. The layout of the house worked very well for a family, offering plenty of space and comfort once everything was up and running. The laundry and drying room were also very useful once operational. We also really appreciated the generous welcome pack of food

− Unfortunately, the house was not properly prepared for our arrival. There was no heating on the first night, which made for an extremely uncomfortable stay—and the second night wasn’t much better, as the house took a long time to warm up. A heater was finally provided on day three, which was far too late. We were quite literally frozen on our first morning of skiing, despite it being a sensational powder day. Drying our ski gear was also difficult during the first 24 hours. There were also some oversights in cleanliness and setup: the main bed was missing pillowcases on the first night, and the lounge still had leftover cheese and biscuits from the previous guests. Additionally, the driveway hadn’t been cleared before our arrival—it was completely frozen and made it difficult to manage our bags, especially when first arriving. (Of course, we were happy to maintain it ourselves once we’d settled in.) It was a disappointing and uncomfortable start to what was meant to be a relaxing two-week stay

loved the heated floor, made a huge difference. coffe brand was very nice too The view from the back was lovely.

− the beds were too short. the king is not the standard length for a king (I have one at home). made sleeping very uncomfortable. others also complained the Queen bed was short. Also, having to strip the beds is not in keeping with the cost of the stay. I found this quite annoying actually; this is the role of the cleaner

Cosy, comfy, convenient and ultra nice place to stay in Threadbo

Loved the welcome hamper of coffee, bottle of wine and Toblerone. The kitchen utilities and utensils were exceptionally well stocked. The underfloor heating in the loungeroom was so good it kept the whole house warm and cosy, I was getting about in shorts and a shirt inside, so nice. The door code for front door access was also super convenient, no worrying about where your keys or keycards are, who has them, who doesn't. And we saw a wombat right outside the property, super awesome.
