Cosy & private - a lovely Winter getaway!
8.0This was our 2nd stay at Blacksmiths Barn and we had a lovely time. The barn has everything you need kitchen wise, and the hosts also go that little bit further by providing juice, milk, eggs and biscuits (we can never usually eat biscuits provided, but these were GF - winning!). The bed is comfortable and the bath is so deep and lovely to relax in on an evening, especially when it’s raining and you can hear the pitter patter on the skylight. Large bathroom (shower could be cleaned better) and plenty of towels. Lots of information in the property about the local area, recommendations etc, and the host was great - giving us some information on local amenities etc when we checked in. Hosts were friendly, knowledgeable and non intrusive. Great area for exploring Scarborough and the coast.
− Though well stocked in the kitchen, some essentials in the bathroom would be really useful i.e shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. Could do with some maintenance and updating - chipped floor tiles, dusty/cobwebs, sofa is weathered and the electric tea lights didn’t work.

10.0Stunning decor with top quality towels, bedding. Lots of extras orange juice, milk, eggs and oat biscuits. Dog towels included and even face cloths and wipes. Really comfy bed and big bath. Liked the fact the hosts meet you to show you the property and their recommendations.

9.0Came up to expectations, property was as described. Although 'dog friendly' it did not smell of dogs, which was a relief as we don't have any. Property well situated for exploring the area.
