Great location and we had good weather. Well worth staying if you like walking and decent places to eat.
9.0Nice large house. Off road parking and great location.
Clean spacious and well located
10.0Great location - beach and town all close by Lovely views from the front terrace. Lots of space
− Nothing not to like. Could have provided toiletries
Would recommend this property
9.0The house is nice and spacious, modern and well presented. The location is great, only a couple of minute walk down the hill into the main town.
− I wouldn't really say that there was anything we didn't like but there were a couple of things that I would say are constructive criticisms. One being, for a 4☆ property, it would have been nice to have had a little welcome pack, even if it was only a pint of milk, some juice and maybe a small packet of Welsh cakes/cookies or something. If you're a family or group that like to cook, the appliances are good but there seemed to be a lack of cooking equipment, no measuring jug, no kitchen weighing scales, limited utensils etc. We like to eat out, so didn't really effect us to much, but again, for a 4☆ you might expect everything to be there. There were a few issues with various things when we arrived, which you certainly wouldn't expect, but in all fairness to stay Gower they were quick to reply and did offer to send round a handyman, I did however sort these issues out myself, so this wasn't needed.
Disappointed. by our experience, despite the nice house and beautiful location.
6.0The location of the house is wonderful, up a steep hill, but with beautiful views over the bay. Everything was spotlessly clean and there are three very nice bathrooms.
− We were disappointed to find that the TV is not a smart TV, so we were unable to stream anything. Most modern holiday homes that charge this amount have smart TVs these days. We were also disappointed that there were no board games or similar. Again, this seems to be something that is usually provided in large holiday homes. The kitchen does not have enough cooking equipment or glasses. However, our main problem was that on the first of our three nights in the house the smoke alarms went off at 1 am when all six of us were fast asleep. The noise was ear splitting and it took us a long while to find where the alarms were and which ones were going off. We were all running around in the middle of the night trying to work out the problem, bringing chairs up the stairs from the kitchen to try to reach the alarms, and trying to find tools to disconnect them. I made two phone calls to Stay Gower's emergency phone number but got no reply or help. Eventually we managed to stop the noise, but every time we put the smoke alarm back up, the noise would start again. Eventually we were forced to turn off the alarms at the mains fuse box to silence them. Going back to sleep was almost impossible and we were all worried about why the alarms had gone off, and now worried that we were sleeping in a house with no functioning smoke alarms. I contacted Stay Gower the next day, and they were very unapologetic, and even questioned whether I had rung their emergency line, as they said they had no record of the calls! Clearly from my phone call log you can see I'd made the calls, and I sent the log to them for evidence. I was disappointed that Stay Gower did not take this issue more seriously. In future, they should change the smoke alarm batteries more frequently, make sure their "emergency" telephone line is working, and be prepared to generously compensate guests who have their night ruined by this sort of experience.
Would thoroughly recommend this property.it is decorated and furnished to avery high standard, is spacious and comfortab
10.0Very stylishly furnished, and very comfortable. Views and location were excellent.
− Nothing…. Only slight grumble was that the sat nav in our car had difficulty in finding the address to start with, but that say more about our cars than the house!
Great stay. Would definitely recommend
9.0Good setup for 4 adults on a golf trip. Great views from upstairs. Good location.
− Could have done with 1 or 2 more ‘welcome pack’ type items, was a little limited and meant we had to go straight to the shop.
