− We were unable to open the garage where the apartment keys were located (moreover we couldn't reach the staff by phone)

Location

− Very difficult to get keys located in inaccessible garage. Had to wait on street until a vehicle exited garage to be able to duck under door and get in. Shower in laundry was unuseable (no support bracket for shower head). Four people had to use ensuite bathroom through bedroom one. Not ideal at all as we booked it because advertised with 2 bathrooms. Second bedroom very small with bed pushed up against wall, no side tables and slat missing from middle of vertical blinds.

LOCATION!!!! The flat is right in the midst of all that Stavanger has to offer. There was a 'mini-market' type supermarket literally underneath the building, which was open every day, and was very handy, especially on a Sunday when a lot of things were closed. Place was clean on our arrival, with PLENTY of towels and both beds were made up to a comfortable standard. Accommodation was very well equipped, with everything we needed for our short stay (plenty of glasses, plates, cutlery. A washer (possibly with a dryer but we did not use this), 2x clothes airers for drying washing. THere was a dining area.) Shower was reasonably powerful (might benefit from a different showerhead) and there was ALWAYS plenty of hot water. Good amount of storage for our clothes, etc.

− The email link to get into the apartment - this caused issues for one of my party, when he returned to the property (thankfully within office hours) and found the link to access the accommodation no longer worked. I was frantically trying to get in touch with the letting team via booking.com, but this was fruitless. He managed to get hold of the company via LinkedIn (not ideal) but he had to wait outside the property for over an hour just for someone to bring him a physical key to get in (he had contacted the cleaner on a number given out via LinkedIn, who was VERY helpful!). This put a bit of a downer on our experience on the last day, sadly. The location - being located in the centre and directly opposite an Irish Bar that only opens from 8pm to 3:30am on a Friday and Saturday meant some noise issues. This is not the fault of the accommodation but is something to keep in mind when renting. We were wakened by noisy drunks as the soundproofing was not that great. Bring earplugs. No notes from the owners on how to use the various media units. Luckily we are all technically minded but it might prove tricky for some guests. Notes on practical matters missing, for example, I had to message booking.com as there was no guidance on where to put rubbish when bin is full (was a bit of a palaver trying to find the outside bins and getting back to the apartment but we got there in the end)
