The Old Stores - Rede, Rede, GB
Warm, comfortable and very clean accommodation, ideal for short stay.
10.0Extremely clean and comfortable (although the bed was a bit soft for our liking) accommodation in a quiet location. Dog friendly. Located in small village on a quiet road. Nice touch with milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and bread in kitchen on arrival. Rooms were very warm on arrival.
− Not a dislike, but note low ceiling in places (stairs and bathroom).
Overall excellent stay
10.0Location was great. My work colleagues found it ideal to travel back and forth to work. Property is lovely and w have stayed there many times.
− Nothing to improve.
Top Engels
9.0Echte Engelse sfeer. Alles aanwezig voor een zelfvoorzienend verblijf.
− Jammer dat er geen pub en winkels in het dorpje zitten.
Lovely, would stay there again.
8.0The Old Stores have been beautifully converted and are a lovely place to stay - the pictures in the particulars don't do it justice, it's even nicer in reality! Other than a bath tub, the property offers everything you could need, in particular two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is an absolutely beautiful cirular 2.5 mile walk starting/ending at what was The Plough pub (200 yards distant) where your dog can roam free - there are no roads to cross on the walk until one returns to the village - we did the walk 4 times in two days! Rede is a lovely, small, beautiful and quiet village within easy travelling distance of Bury St Edmunds.
− These are NOT criticisms, but rather things for guests to be aware of: > As stated, there is no enclosed garden for your dog. > Again, as stated in the particulars, you can't park outside to load/unload. > There are a number of low beams/rooflines. > We found the beds a bit too soft for our liking. Like so many small village pubs, The Plough appears to have sadly closed its doors for the last time - such a shame, having a drink on a beautiful Summer's day on the lawn underneath the willow trees would have rounded-off a perfect day.
Excellent stay and would recommend.
10.0The property was lovely and in a lovely area. I had booked if for work colleagues who were very pleased overall.
− Everything was great, nothing to improve.
