Budget room in good location, but in fairness, could have been cheaper.

The Airbnb was in a convenient location; a very short walk away from a bus stop that you could use to get to the town centre. The bed was comfy. The shower was excellent, and easy enough to use. The landlady was kind enough to let me use her washing machine to clean my t-shirt, which was nice of her.

I have limited experience staying at Airbnbs so I don’t know if everything I’m writing is par for the course or not. My overall opinion is that it could have been cheaper considering what was available. The room was very limited in terms of amenities. It was literally just a bed in a room, and that was it. There was no desk or any place for me to put my electronic devices. The chest of drawers had drawers that seemed broken or designed badly. It was a bother getting them to open and close. I could not get the radiators working at all, no matter how far I turned the dial. I think it may have been defective. The bed was warm enough luckily, so I did not freeze to death that night. The television was dreadful. Even though a remote was supplied; I had to press each button very firmly; sometimes more than once to get it to work properly. There was an HDMI feature that let you connect AirPlay via laptop/iOS device, but after 30 minutes of struggling to get it to work, I gave up and stopped trying. I had difficulty trying to turn the hall lights on, because they were hidden behind a mirror. It took me a while to figure out where they were. I think it would be better if the mirror was mounted on the wall somewhere, so the light switches could be seen more easily. There was wi-fi, but I had to go up to her and ask what the network was, and its password. It would have been nice if a note had been left telling me what it was, somewhere.
