It was ok for a a place to sleep for one night

It is a lovely location.

The bridge to go in the drive way seems a little too well worn. A window in the bedroom had a broken pane of glass.

A total disaster, we left as soon as we arrived. Disgusting place.

it was a disaster, I wonder how Bookings.com would even consider listing this property. It was beyond disgraceful. I would never stay in a place like this even for free. Smell terrible, it was dark and poorly decorated. The bathroom was listed as private but it was on a different floor and it was supposed to be shared. The place itself was not easily found; it was out of the way. None of the photos were representative of the actual conditions. The worst possible experience anyone can have. Remove this listing from your site

I liked nothing.

A quiet, restful stay, but a few caveats as noted.

7.0

The location is great for a quiet getaway. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Small comfortable bedroom is in the attic but the bathroom is down a steep flight of stairs on the main level. Less than ideal for late night bathroom visits. Breakfast was as advertised, Yogurt, fruit and granola.

An adventure, at a place that misrepresented its offerings.

Place itself is charming. Owners are nice.

Bed & pillows not comfortable. Breakfast was pathetic. Bath was NOT private. There was no seating in the room, and we weren’t allowed to use the seating areas downstairs. Place wasn’t clean.

Pleasant

Location was good and quiet. Close to Rhinebeck. The house is lovely.

There aren’t any choices offered for breakfast except for some fruit, yogurt , and granola. Some people cannot digest yogurt or fruit for breakfast. I have lactose intolerance and GERD. There wasn’t a toaster to toast some bread or bagel. The bathroom was not clean.

Charming, lovely and very private accommodation for nature lovers.

First of all, I want to say that I wish I could give five stars for everything. This place is owned by and run by the nicest and most generous hosts you are likely to meet. However, I don't really think that they've got the B&B thing down. For example, my room had no closet or clothes rack or hangers with which to hang your clothes and no dresser to put clothing into. Instead, there was a lovely potted plant in one corner of the room, occupying the place where there might have been a little closet I have pressure point problems and the beds were quite challenging for me because of that. I had to keep turning all night to deal with pain of sleeping on too hard a surface. And strangely, given that the B&B is indeed in the middle of greenery (I could not see another dwelling or built structure from any of the five windows in my room) there were no screens in any of the windows. It was hot and the air conditioning for my room was accomplished by a small fan set above the floor air vent. It actually worked quite well (so long as the air conditioning was on downstairs) but it was a bit unconventional. All that being said, if you like a hard bed, don't have much in the way of clothing and nothing that needs to be hung and don't mind that you can't have fresh air without bugs (and what New Yorker opens a window in the summer anyway?) the charm and beauty of the place will make up for its shortcomings. Lynn has put so much thought and care into choosing and placing the lovely antique furniture that you feel like you are in a movie set. The house is surrounded by greenery. I never saw any wildlife but I was only there late at night and briefly in the morning. Michael and Lynn will go out of their way to give you what you need and if you are looking for a rural setting and a place with wood plank floors, old time antique furnishings and tons of divided light windows, this is your place!

It all depends upon what's important to you. See above. Ah and yes, location. I was there because I was taking a workshop at Omega. I came by train so would have had to get a cab or Uber to get back and forth every day. Micheal generously offered to drive me the eight or so minute drive each day, telling me that it's impossible to get an Uber to drive from Rhinebeck just to drive that eight minute drive. Of course, if you have a car - no problem.
