A much needed break for my mum and myself in a really nice property in a lovely part of Scotland

The wildlife in the garden and surroundings was really nice. The hosts were attentive and on call when you needed them. The property was well equipped and had all basic supplies.

The road running down to the hotel along side the property was busy at times.

Excellent!

Lovely wooden cabin with all you need for a great stay. Modern decor, comfortable beds, good kitchen and two bathrooms. Also parking spaces for two cars. The really good thing is that, because the cabin is in the woods, you get red squirrels and lots of species of birds coming right up to the feeding stations on the balcony at the back of the cabin. There are lots of woodland walks, including a pleasant walk to Gatehouse of Fleet, which has nice places for morning coffee, lunch, and evening meals. It is a good base to explore the local castles and ruins, neolithic monuments, beaches, gardens and other attractions. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location was idyllic. Wooded setting, tranquil and really surrounded by nature

The mattress in the second bedroom was a little firm for our taste but otherwise everything was perfect.
