Condo By The Sea!♡

Not sure about kids or older travelers but for 4 middle age adults, this place is a GREAT option!

The grounds and the pool are very well maintained. The condo has a good kitchen...updated and well stocked...but no garbage disposal and no ice maker. We purchased a bag of ice on day 1 and it lasted us throughout the week. The bedrooms are LARGE which is great! The view from the balcony and the condo's proximity to the beach and pier are perfect. It was a great place to stay for 4 adults. When you first walk in, there's a half bath to your left and a hook rack on the wall to your right which is perfect for keys, umbrella, sunglasses, etc. Walk straight back and on that first level, there's a kitchen, dining area, living room and balcony. The perfect space for 4 adults - plenty of room - we never felt like we were in each other's way. No bug issues at all. The AC works well! Having a washer/dryer was nice-didn't have to pack as many clothes. The covered parking spot was super convenient. The host was very attentive. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The beach supplies closet had 4 chairs, several umbrellas, 2 boogie boards and miscellaneous toys, etc. The master bedroom closet had basically all of the towels for the entire condo...for showers, beach and pool. The only things upstairs are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so having the half bath downstairs was great! The check out instructions were not overwhelming at all.

− There's no elevator so suitcases have to be taken upstairs to the 2nd level. When you first walk in, there's an overwhelming musty smell which must be coming from the carpet on the staircase because the rest of the condo has nice vinyl flooring. The kitchen is nice but it could use a garbage disposal and ice maker. The most bothersome thing I found in the condo was the condition of the blender. I was excited to have a way to make my morning smoothie while on vacation so as soon as we walked in the door, I found the blender and took it apart to inspect. It had never been taken apart to be cleaned-disgusting! I just had a feeling and so glad I checked! The bottom of the glass pitcher, the blade and the rubber gasket were all coated in old, crusty, dried-on, caked-on food-DISGUSTING! I soaked all of those parts in hot soapy water then scrubbed it all well with the brand new sponge they provided (which was nice). I ran it all through the dishwasher and then scrubbed/rinsed it all again. Every morning after making my smoothie, I simply took it all apart and gave it a good wash so it would be ready for the next morning. It was nice having a washer/dryer however, the dryer turns off when it gets overheated and then turns back on so it’s about a 5 minute cycle…on for 5 and off for 5…until everything is dry. A Keurig would be so much better than the coffee pot so we could all have the coffee of our choice. The 2 full bathrooms upstairs are in need of updating except the shower in the master bathroom which has been nicely done but, they used glazed tiles on the floor of the shower so BE CAREFUL, it is very slippery! Both full baths have old wallpaper, the doors are peeling and look old & dirty and the fixtures are dated. Both shower curtains have mold/mildew at the bottom. There is NO PLACE for shower supplies in the master shower-glad I brought my hanging caddy!

The apartment is really spacious compared with hotels. It is as convenient as home! The access to the ocean is SOOOO easy. Love it they also have water hoses every time you come back from beach you can easily wash off all the sands.

The unit is second floor (no elevator) on the end closest to the beach for a good ocean view. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with a drip coffee maker and blender. There are beach chairs and toys to use.

− The unit needs new doors in the bathrooms as they are coming apart at the bottoms. Also a new toilet in the second bath as finish is coming off. The patio chairs need new cushions. All of that is minor but for the price of rental should be done.
